Doctor Sergey Sokolovsky was awarded a medical degree at the Tyumen State Medical Academy in 1984, and thereupon the degree of Ph.D. in the sphere of Mental Health. In 1985 graduated the' Moscow Central Institute for Qualifying Physicians' in the specialty "Medical Psychology and Psychotherapy". In 1992-1993 studied Chinese medicine in the People's Republic of China, in the city of Jiamusi,

Heilujian Province, obtained the Certificate 'Chinese Medicine including Chinese Acupuncture and Massage'. From 1987 through 1988 worked on probation in Greece, in 1990 in the USA, in 1991 in Bangladesh, in 1994 in Austria where worked in different Medical Rehabilitation Centers. 
A t present works in private practice and teaches Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the Chair of Psychology of the Moscow Humanitarian Social University, Pyatigorsk Branch, also Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University. He is a Member of the European Association 'Cognitive-behavioral Therapy, participant in the World Conferences and Presentations on Cognitive-behavioral Therapy (Thessalonica, 2005, Florentia 2006, Barcelona, 2007, Al-Hobar, 2008, San-Francisco, 2009). Author of Russian Federation patents on the therapy of diabetes (# 2197250), immune disorders (# 2194514), drug addiction (#2194514), obesity (# 2277918) and more than 10 rationalization proposals in the sphere of applied clinical psychology and psychophysiology. Author of scientific works on cognitive-behavioral therapy of alcoholism, obesity, nervous disorders, smoking. 
A t present is working at applied programs "Mindfulness" in the conditions of treating alcoholism, obesity, smoking "Stop craving through mindfulness and self-helping".

Main scientific works: from 2002 through 2005 by Doctor S.R. Sokolovsky:
1. Three patented scientific elaborations on treating neuroses, defects of the immune disorders, drug addiction and diabetes. All the three are under Patents of the Russian Federation, valid all over the Russian territory for 20 years.
2.Elaborated and dispatched a program of long-term social-psychological aid in Beslan "Beslan - the line of life" - "Program 10 steps - Stork let" and dispatched to the competition at the Moscow Representation of the "CAF-Charities Aid Foundation".
3.Elaborated and dispatched "MENTAL HEALTH DISABILITY INTERNATIONAL PROJECT" on the basis of the former pioneer camp in the Northern Caucasus for children with Mental deviation to the representatives of the Ford Foundation in Moscow.
4.To the Pyatigorsk-city Mayor has been submitted the program of re-equipment one of the neglected former pioneer camps on the Mashuk-mountain into a long-term Center of psychic health and psychological rehabilitation of teenagers of Russia with psychological, mental and neurological defects. The program has been entered on a roll of the most important innovational programs of the Administration.
5.A Center of practical psychology and psychotherapy with a telephone of confidence is getting ready on the basis of the Moscow Humanitarian Social University, Pyatigorsk Branch, for reinforcing the practical basis of psychologists.
